The company was founded by Obed Maurice CPA, CA and has received funding from Alberta Innovates and The National Research Council of Canada. Obed previously founded one of Canada’s first virtual CPA firms which was later acquired by a regional accounting firm. Maxim One was created as an extension to his previous work with accounting automation.
